Policies and Procedures
Sominbo Life & Health aims to bring you an environment where the care and services provided nurture holistically your soul, mind & body. Each treatment is tailored to each individual client’s needs. The foremost goal is to make a difference in the lives we touch by offering a high level of service, in a safe healing space.
We want you to be able to obtain your desired appointment(s), so we recommend scheduling your appointment as far in advance as possible to ensure availability. To secure your desired appointment a credit card is required at the time of booking to guarantee your reservation, this includes appointment that are utilizing gift certificated, vouchers or third party coupons. We hold this information in adherence with our cancellation policy and only process necessary charges to your account on the date of your scheduled service. Details of our cancellation policy are provided below.
Cancellation Policies and Fees:
Your treatment and treatment time are reserved especially for you. We value your business and ask that you respect the scheduling policies. Should you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us 24 hours in advance.
Any cancellations or reschedules with less than 24 hours of notice are subject to a $50 cancellation/rescheduling fee or forfeit of applicable voucher or gift certificate up to $50. Clients who miss their appointments without giving any prior notification (no call, no show) will be charged in full for the scheduled service. If a promotional coupon, third party coupon or gift certificate is being used for appointment and appointment results in a no call no show, the coupon or certificate will be fully redeemed. We recognize that everyone’s time is valuable and have implemented this policy for that reason. When you miss an appointment with us, we not only lose your business, but also the potential business of other clients who could have scheduled an appointment for the same time. Additionally, many times scheduling functions in an "on call" status and therefore we show specifically for your service.
When you schedule your appointment with us, you are agreeing to these policies. All services require a credit card or gift certificate to guarantee a reservation so please have your credit card and/or gift certificate ready when booking. You will not be billed unless there is a cancellation or no show. Upon checkout, clients may choose their method of payment.
We understand that life happens, sickness happens and bad weather happens. If you have a fever, have been in the hospital, have been experiencing vomiting or diarrhea within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment, or it begins a couple of hours prior to your scheduled session. If your children are ill and need you at home, please cancel. Equally, if there is an ice/snow storm, please do not drive or walk on the ice if you do not have to, but please call to cancel, if we haven’t already contacted you. These things should be emailed or call in to us, so we can accommodate and waive cancellation fees as appropriate.
If it is your first time coming to our office, we’d like to remind you that our building, and the signs are only slightly visible from Greenmount Ave. There is a picture of the building at the bottom of your appointment correspondence email. Please allow a little extra time for finding us!
We ask that you please arrive 15 minutes early for new clients and 10 minutes early for return clients prior to your appointment time. We will do our best to accommodate late arrivals. However, the length of service may be adjusted so as to not interrupt the scheduled appointments of other clients. Full price of scheduled services will still apply regardless of lateness, so please plan accordingly.
FREE parking is available on Greenmount Ave, please be aware that parking is not allowed on the North bound side from 4pm-6pm Monday-Friday, so you will need to park on the Southbound side to avoid any parking violations. Please be mindful of any street signage and park close to the curb as Greenmount Ave is a very busy street.
We kindly ask that you turn your cell phones to vibrate or silent upon arrival, that way it does not disturb the zen and calm of your treatment. Please inform your therapist should you need to make or are expecting a phone call during your session so that the disturbance is expected. Cell phone use may affect the length of your service(s).
Prices and Services:
Prices and services are subject to change without notice. We will do our best to keep our clients up to date on any changes that may occur but encourage all clients to take note of pricing when booking your appointment.
Memberships and Packages:
We believe that all things done consistently expand in their effectiveness and results, which is why we have created the SMB Elevation Memberships to allow you to get services regularly at a discounted rate for sharing that belief and committing to your health and wellness. Booking and cancellation policy for memberships and any specialty packages adhere to all policies outlined above in the “Booking Appointments” and “Cancellation Policies and Fees” sections. Any appointment cancellations with less than 24 hours of notice are subject to a redemption of that month’s service credit.
Memberships are for a term of 12 months and will be auto debited each month in the amount of the membership you have chosen. A hard copy contract will need to be signed on the date of your first membership service and you will receive a copy. Should you find that you need to cancel your membership contract prior to fulfilling your 12-month obligation, you will need to complete and submit a signed cancellation form 30 days prior to your cancellation date in order to not incur a cancellation fee. Cancellations can only be done through email if the membership cancellation form has been filled out, signed and a scanned copy has been received 30 days prior to your requested cancellation date. Cancellations can not be done over the phone.
Packages are non-refundable and can not be shared amongst multiple people.
SMB specials cannot be used in combination with any other offer, promotions or third part gift certificates. Third party specials/vouchers can not be combined with Sominbo Life and Health in house services.
Gratuity is not included in the price of service or wellness packages, customary tipping runs 15% to 20% but is, of course, at your discretion. You may tip the therapist during check out with cash, check or credit card.
Gift Certificate Policy:
Gift Certificates are available for purchase online at https://www.sominbolifeandhealth.com/gift-certificates/ Unfortunately, we are unable to process any returns or reimburse any payment transactions on gift certificates even if lost, misplaced, stolen or unwanted. Gift certificates cannot be redeemed as cash. Gift Certificates must be mentioned when making your appointment.

Please place all personal belongings in the space designated by the therapist. After your session please check to be sure you have all you came in with. Sominbo Life and Health is not responsible for lost or misplaced items. An attempt may be made to notify you of left items, however it is your responsibility to set up time to retrieve lost item(s).
